In the natural development of its activity, COBA founded or owned as majority shareholder other companies that, although with autonomous management, whenever necessary, can support and collaborate with COBA.

These companies as a whole form COBA Group that, in addition to the parent company, includes the following ones:

ENGICO, Lda.
Founded in 1982 in Matosinhos, its major shareholder is COBA from 1989. It is a consulting engineering firm in the fields of water supply, collection and treatment of domestic and industrial wastewaters and also building structures and geotechnics.

EFIEFE, Lda.
Founded in 1987 in Oporto, its major shareholder is COBA since 1993. Its main activity is the management, coordination and supervision of civil engineering works.

COESA, S.A.
Founded in 1970 by COBA, it is involved in the trade of instrumentation for the monitoring of works behaviour, in the assistance in the phases of design, installation and operation of monitoring systems and their interpretation.

COBA S/C, Lda. (Brazil)
Founded in 1996 by COBA, SA with the main purpose of supporting the parent company in the country, acting in the same sectors of activity.

CONSULSTRADA, Lda.
Established in 2003, Consulstrada has the purpose of providing engineering services associated with planning, design, quality control and management of road and airport pavements, including the execution of specialised "in situ" and laboratory tests.

LANDCOBA, Lda.
Established in 2004, LANDCOBA, LDA is owned entirely by the COBA Group. It has the purpose of providing support in engineering and geomatics, development and implementation of information systems and production and control of digital mapping, as well as other subsidiary activities.

COBA (Angola)
Established in 2000 as the branch of COBA in Angola, it provides support in the activity of the group companies and develops several others with the local staft.

COBA ALGERIE, INGENIEURS CONSEILS
It is a 100% owned COBA's subsidiary governed by the Algerian law. It provides engineering consultancy services in all fields of activity of the parent company and gives support to the multiple projects it has under way in the country.

COBA EMIRATES BRANCH
Established in 2006, it main purpose is the support of the COBA groups in the Gulf Area, in activities of design and project management.

TETRAPLANO ENGENHARIA
The company's purpose is the provision of engineering services in the fields of geotechnics and structures. It results from the split, in 2006, of TETRAPLANO, Serviços de Arquitectura e Engenharia (Architectural and Engineering Services), established in Lisbon in 1996.

SKILLTEC
Established in 2010, its purpose is the provision of integrated engineering, management and maintenance services in the field of hydraulic and agricultural developments, encompassing the maintenance and operation areas, consulting services and information systems.

ASSOCIATE COMPANIES

EIA, S.A.
COBA is a shareholder of EIA, a company established in 1994 with a view to creating a new University in the Greater Lisbon, named "Universidade Atlântica". It is located near the Science and Technology Park at Oeiras and the first undergaduate courses have started in 1996. COBA's Charman chairs the General Board since 1997.

SDMH – Sociedade de Desenvolvimento de Mini-Hídricas
SDMH was established in 2008 and has the purpose of developing business in small hydropower plants for the generation of electrical power in Portugal. It is owned by the companies CasaisInvest, with participation of 29% in the share capital, Conduril and Sofomil, with 28% each, and COBA with 15%.
