Moamba Major Dam.
Environmental Impact Assessment of the Nacala Corridor.
COBA started two new and important contracts in Mozambique, both for private organisations.
The Moamba Major dam whose purpose is the water supply to the city of Maputo. The earthfill dam, about 42 m high and a crest length with 3.000 m, will be equipped of a 10 MW power plant . The services include preliminary design, environmental impact assessment, detailed design, final design and technical assistance. COBA is responsible for the whole project.
Environmental Impact Assessment of the Nacala Corridor, including the Nacala Mine Port, the railway line from the Town of Nacala to the Moatize Coal Mine, crossing, along 940 kms, the territories of Mozambique and Malawi, and the second phase of the Moatize Mine Development. The study has been awarded to an association of which COBA is a member.
