Quality Assurance
The consulting engineering activity requires a lot of different attributes, essentially associated with the know-how, technical capability, reliability and the accomplishment of high quality standards. COBA has always adopted these concepts and procedures through the application of the "Internal Procedures" and the implementation of a Quality System based on NP EN ISO 9001. COBA is formally certified since 2000 by "APCER - Associação Portuguesa de Certificação" (Portuguese Certification Authority).
Since 1993, COBA is certified "Quality Manager of Construction Projects" from the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering of Portugal, with the highest mark in all disciplines (Hydraulic Undertakings, Transportation Infrastructures and Buildings and Monuments).
As each project is a specific case, with its own characteristics, whenever a new contract is awarded, a Quality Plan is prepared in order to allow the staff involved to be provided with all the necessary and pertinent information for its development and to allow the internal quality control and the audits by the Client.
Quality Policy
COBA's main goal is to comply with the Clients' requirements providing the highest standard services at the full satisfaction of Owners.
To reach such a goal, COBA aims at:
- Promoting the Clients' requirements and expectations, within the legal principles and within the technical, professional and ethic standards.
- Ensuring the continuous improvement of their services.
- Bearing in mind the continuous evolution of technical requirements and appropriate technology.
- Improving the efficiency of their services through the growing of production rates.
For these purposes, COBA reckons essentially upon the technical skills, experience, commitment and fairness of their personnel.
With periodical assessment of the services, COBA assures the quality and expects to maintain and/or improve their credibility by the Clients, fulfilling their requirements, to create the best conditions for their personnel and to comply with the shareholders wishes.
